Local Attractions for Guests of Maly Sopot Boutique

Our reception-concierge will help you organize any attraction in and around Iława that you wish to have. Explore some of our suggestions:

Outdoor Brine Graduation Tower

Mały Sopot Boutique has its own outdoor brine graduation tower, which operates at positive temperatures (optimally plus 5 degrees Celsius or more). The healing microclimate is created by the dripping of brine and air movement, which causes intense evaporation and saturation of the air with iodine, bromine and a whole range of other microelements such as magnesium, sodium, potassium and iron.

Inhalations in the graduation tower strengthen immunity, cleanse the respiratory tract and improve overall health (eliminating weakness/exhaustion of the body), as well as help in the treatment of upper respiratory tract diseases, sinusitis, emphysema or hypertension.

Forest Bathing (shinrin-yoku)

Experience forest in a unique way. Following the Japanese forest therapy called shinrin-yoku, get immersed in the forest and absorb it with all your senses. Mute your phone, take a quiet walk among the trees and perceive the natural surroundings as they are. Contemplate nature. Touch, feel, smell, taste. Embrace the trees. Feel their power. Forest bathing makes us better, healthier and happier.

The nearest place, ideal for the initial practice of shinrin-yoku, is the revitalized municipal forest located 300 meters away from our boutique in Sienkiewicza Street, where you will encounter 200-year-old oaks, hornbeams and pines and learn the true story of the forest, or starting a little further behind it a forest educational path leading to Silm Lake. Another interesting place for practicing forest bathing can be the quiet, former settlement of Sarnówek situated on the very Jeziorak Lake surrounded by beautiful forests, which can be reached within 15 minutes (direction of Siemiany).

Boat Cruise on Jeziorak Lake

A relaxing yacht or motor boat cruise on Jeziorak Lake and around the Wielka Zuława Island. Feel the gentle breeze of Jeziorak Lake, take a close look at the largest Polish inland island and the natural rowing track in the isthmus. On request, we can also organize a full-day cruise to discover the incredible diversity of the shoreline, fauna and flora of Jeziorak Lake, the longest lake in Poland (27.5 km long). For sailing enthusiasts, we have a cruise to the Krag Bay, which connects Jeziorak with the world-famous Elblag Channel through the Ilawski Channel and then with Dauby Lake, at the lock in Milomlyn.

A walk in the Area of Maly Sopot

At a slow pace – learn with a licensed tour guide about the history of Maly Sopot (Kleinzoppot), interesting facts connected with the past and modern history of this place, Iława, Jeziorak Lake and our dignified neighbor – the biggest inland island in Poland – Great Zulawy, and also the most famous resident of Jerzwałd, located on Jeziorak Lake – writer Zbigniew Nienacki, author of the famous series of adventure books about Pan Samochodzik (Mister Car).

Historical and Natural Habitat Expeditions

You can also take a slightly longer trip. There are many interesting places, accessible within 10-30 minutes by car. The ruins of Szymbark castle, the second largest brick building in Europe after Teutonic castle Malbork, are still impressive, the forest educational trail leading to the crystal clear Lake Jasne, the museum in the former Teutonic castle in Ostróda, the Taborska Pine Reserve of "ideal trees" located a little further away (45 minutes), or the Grunwald Battlefield are just some of the proposals for an intimate trip, for which we will be happy to prepare a picnic basket full of healthy snacks.
